Job summary

Church Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist with clinical procedures, patient care, and a clean, efficient work environment. You will adhere to Tennessee Board of Dentistry guidelines and deliver quality dental care to patients.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, TN-licensed RDA with radiology cert, and CPR. Prior experience 1–3 years is preferred; on-site, full-time, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RDA certification with radiology certificate in TN required.
• CPR certification required.
• Coronal polishing, sealant application, and nitrous monitoring preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort.
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Set up treatment rooms with instruments and materials for procedures.
• Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and treatments.
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control.
• Maintain accurate patient records and chart conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering as needed.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up scheduling.
