Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; transcript required.
• 1 year of experience in a dental office or dental lab.
• Registered Dental Assistant in Tennessee with radiology and nitrous oxide monitoring; CPR certification.
• Proof of licensure required; CDA/DANB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists operator at the dental chair using 4-handed dentistry; prepares tray with instruments, materials and medications.
• Provides chairside assistance to the dental hygienist and prepares patients for treatment.
• Maintains OSHA sterilization regulations and cleans the work area.
• Prepares and/or mixes impression materials and takes primary impressions for study casts.
• Maintains CEREC milling machines and assists students and faculty with milling.
