Starry Dental is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is essential to providing high-quality dental care and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. You will work closely with our dentists to provide chair-side assistance, maintain a sterile environment, and support patients throughout their clinical journey.

Pay
- $26 - $30 per hour
- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Requirements
- Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Certification: Current state-required dental assisting certifications and a valid Radiation Safety Certificate.
- Life Safety: Active BLS/CPR certification.
- Skills: Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Competency: Ability to follow detailed clinical instructions and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
Preferences
- Experience: Prior clinical experience as a Dental Assistant in a private practice or community health setting.
- Advanced Skills: Experience taking digital impressions or assisting with specialized dental procedures.
- Software: Proficiency with dental practice management software.
Job Description
- Chair-side Assistance: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, preventative, and surgical services.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedures being performed.
- Sterilization & Safety: Clean and sterilize dental instruments and operatories in strict accordance with OSHA and infection control protocols.
- Radiography: Safely and accurately take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Clinical Records: Document patient treatments and findings accurately within the electronic health record system.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and creating dental models.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all dental equipment is functional, clean, and well-maintained for daily use.
