Job summary

The Smilist in Brick, New Jersey is seeking a reliable Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. The selected candidate will support clinicians, ensure patient comfort, and contribute to high-quality dental care in a warm, professional environment.

Required licenses include NJ X-ray and RDA; at least 1 year of experience is preferred. This full-time role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on treatment and address individual concerns.
• Maintain a sterile, clean, and welcoming operatory; assist doctors during procedures.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supply levels in each operatory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• NJ x-ray license required
• RDA license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full Time - some Saturdays required
• Salary Range: $26.00-$30.00/hour
• Location: Brick, NJ
