Job summary

Unique Dental of Pembroke is seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our friendly team in Pembroke, MA. You will support the dentist during procedures, prepare instruments, and help maintain a patient-centered, efficient clinic.

Qualifications include prior dental clinic experience, chairside assisting, X-ray capability including 3D scans, Eaglesoft familiarity, infection control knowledge, and clear patient communication. Shift: Mondays 9:00 AM–7:00 PM; pay $20–$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior dental clinic experience preferred.
• Proficient in chairside assisting, instrument processing and equipment operation.
• Familiar with Eaglesoft for managing records.
• Knowledge of dental and medical terminology and anatomy.
• Experience taking X-rays with safety standards.
• Understand infection prevention and sterilization practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a range of procedures including general dentistry and implants.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment per infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, with proper positioning.
• Manage patient records using Eaglesoft EMR with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Collect vital signs and medical history to support patient care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical area following sterilization procedures.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling and assisting reception.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry .
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental equipment operation.
• Familiarity with Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records efficiently.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.
• Experience performing X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and dental sterilization procedures.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and assisting the dental receptionist when needed.
