Family Dental Care of Smyrna is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. This role operates within Heartland Dental, the nation's largest dental support organization, offering state-of-the-art technology, camaraderie and strong support.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Preferred: 1+ year of dental setting experience; Dentrix or similar software experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients at the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Maintain treatment rooms with strict safety protocols per OSHA & CDC.
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems.
