Job summary

Community Health Care, Inc. is seeking a dental assistant to support clinical operations by cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing instruments, and by taking dental X-rays for urgent care patients. You will maintain patient records and ensure charts are up-to-date.

The role emphasizes infection control and adherence to safety guidelines. Applicants must have Iowa radiography certification (or student status) and current CPR, with license/education as specified, and be available for full-time

Qualifications

• Verifiable attendance at a four-hour State Board-approved radiation seminar with certification to operate dental X-ray equipment.
• Registration in Iowa with radiography qualification and current CPR certification.
• Ability to follow infection control guidelines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and sharpen dental instruments.
• Oil and clean equipment and follow infection control recommendations.
• Take dental X-ray photographs and develop/mount X-ray films for urgent care patients.
• Prepare and file case histories and treatment records, ensuring charts are up-to-date.

Job description

• Clean, sterilize, and sharpen dental instruments
• Oil and clean equipment

• Demonstrate knowledge of various consents (oral surgery, papoose, endo, etc.)
• Take dental X-ray photographs; develop and mount X-ray films (including for urgent care patients)
• Prepare and file case histories and treatment records, ensuring charts are up-to-date

Requirements:

• Education: Verifiable attendance at a four-hour State Board-approved radiation seminar with certification to operate dental X-ray equipment, or student status
• Licensure: Registered in the State of Iowa with additional qualification in Radiography, along with current CPR certification
