Job summary

Heartland Dental seeks a Dental Assistant to join Dental Care at Forest Crossing in Milton, FL. Schedule: Tue 8:30am-6:00pm, Wed/Thu 7:30am-5:00pm, Fri 6:30am-4:00pm. You’ll support doctors with four-handed dentistry, manage x-rays and charts, and uphold safety and PHI protections.

Qualifications

• Florida x-ray certificate is required.
• 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow with Heartland Dental systems.
