Big Smile Dental in Fredericksburg, VA is hiring a Full Time Dental Assistant. The ideal candidate will work Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5:00pm and every other Friday 7:45am-2:00pm, with 60 minute lunches.

You will assist dentists, welcome patients, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain records in a patient-centered environment. Qualified applicants have 2+ years of dental assisting experience, a VA license, X-ray certification, and knowledge of sterilization methods and health/safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting clinical experience.
• Active VA dental assistant license and X-ray certification required.
• Dental assistant training/certification as baseline qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient-care skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during procedures and exams.
• Welcoming patients and preparing them for treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories according to regulations.
• Perform lab tasks and post-operative care instructions as directed.
