Affordable Dentures & Implants is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-focused clinical team in Phoenix. You will support dentists with denture procedures, implants, oral surgery, and removable prosthetics while maintaining strict infection control and accurate medical histories.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Dental Assistant and X-ray certification (where required by state).
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select appropriate impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
• Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take dental radiographs in accordance with state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection control standards and sterilize instruments and operatories.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Travel occasionally for training and continuing education.
