Job summary

Affordable Dentures & Implants in Madison, WI seeks a compassionate Dental Assistant to support chairside care across dentures, implants, and prosthodontics. You will work with experienced dentists and in-house lab staff to deliver high-quality tooth replacement solutions, while growing clinically in a fast-paced, patient-focused practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EFDA preferred.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate patient care.
• 1+ year of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Experience with dentures, removable prosthetics, or dental implants.
• Experience taking denture impressions and wax bites.
• Experience assisting with oral surgery and extractions.
• Experience with prosthodontic procedures.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software and electronic patient records.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support and assist dentists during procedures.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials for each patient.
• Assist with denture procedures, implants, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
• Take denture impressions and wax bites under direction.
• Support denture insertions, adjustments, relines, and repairs as permitted.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, options, and home care.
• Document patient histories, treatment info, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take dental radiographs in accordance with state requirements.
• Maintain infection control standards and sterilize instruments.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
• Support daily office operations and travel for training as needed.
