Job summary

Tega Cay Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant II to join our compassionate pediatric team in a multi-location setting. You will assist dentists chairside, prepare instruments, and help create a welcoming environment for children.

This role may require cross-location support. CDA/EFDA certification and coronal polishing with nitrous oxide are preferred, along with 2+ years of experience, HIPAA and infection control knowledge, Curve dental software familiarity, and optional

Qualifications

• CDA or EFDA certification required or pursuing certification.
• Coronal polishing and nitrous oxide certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Strong understanding of dental anatomy, HIPAA compliance, and infection control.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CurveDental software preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment.
• Create a welcoming and comforting experience for children.
• Capture dental X-rays in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with front-office support as needed.
