Job summary

SouthPark Pediatric Dentistry in Charlotte, NC, is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant II to support multiple locations. You will assist pediatric dentists chairside, prepare instruments, and help create a welcoming, safe environment for children while ensuring accurate records and front-office support as needed.

The role requires CDA/EFDA certification and 2+ years of pediatric dental assisting; coronal polishing and nitrous oxide certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• CDA or EFDA certification required or in progress.
• Coronal Polishing and Nitrous Oxide certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, HIPAA compliance and infection control.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring seamless patient care
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment
• Create a welcoming and comforting experiences for children
• Capture dental X-rays in accordance with safety guidelines
• Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and provide front-office support as needed
