Job summary

Job description

Overview

New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), is an integrated institution that values education, clinical care, and research. The Dental Associates of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RHUDA) at New Brunswick offers patient‑centered care and training for dental faculty, students, and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Review providers’ schedules and set up treatment rooms for procedures.
  • Assist faculty chairside in delivering quality dental care.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, instruments, and equipment; restock and report depleted items.
  • Check returned instruments and prepare them for sterilization.
  • Inspect equipment for leaks, wear, or defects; report findings and maintenance needs.
  • Expose and scan digital radiographs using sensors or phosphor plates.
  • Expose panoramic, cephalometric, and CBCT x-rays with specialized machinery.
  • Assist with departmental policies, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection‑control standards.
  • Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (steam autoclaves, sonic washers, etc.) to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Verify past‑due patient visits and aid front‑desk scheduling.
Qualifications
