Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant within the Office of Clinical Affairs-Extramural Clinics at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
The Dental Assistant is responsible for the daily routine operations of a site for the Extramural Clinics. In this role, the Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during examinations and treatment of patients and assist dental hygienist, if needed. This position also includes performing both chairside and desk-side duties. Additionally, the Dental Assistant performs administrative, sterilizing, and miscellaneous tasks, including but not limited to inventory, supply ordering, equipment maintenance, laboratory duties, and radiation badge maintenance. This position also includes covering as a dental assistant as needed within the Extramural Clinics.
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
