Qualifications

• Completion of a formal dental assisting training program and externship acceptable.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers at chairside; review and maintain patient charts; prepare operatories, instruments, supplies and paperwork prior to patient arrival.
• Maintain clinic; assist with screening; perform tasks in specialty area; instruct patients in oral hygiene.
• Supervise patients, mix materials, take vital signs, dispense pre-medication, and provide post-treatment instructions.
• Cross-train with others; forward supply requests; maintain inventory; stock cubicles.
• Perform laboratory duties as assigned; order outside supplies with vendors and manage supply catalog.
• Distribute sterilized trays and instruments; handle sterilization workflow; ensure infection control guidelines are followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Assist providers at chairside; review and maintain patient charts; prepare operatories, instruments, supplies and paperwork prior to patient arrival.* Maintain clinic, assist with screening; perform specific functions and procedures related to specialty area; instruct patients in oral hygiene.* Supervise patients, mix materials, take vital signs, etc.; dispense pre-medication; instruct patients in post-treatment; handle emergencies.* Cross-train with other employees in area as specified by supervisor and perform duties as assigned.* Forward supply requests; maintain inventory control and stock cubicles, etc.* Perform laboratory duties as assigned.
