Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is hiring a Dental Assistant to support dental providers in our Washington clinics. You will perform chair-side assistance, charting, patient education, and instrument sterilization while ensuring infection control and OSHA standards.

Qualifications include reading/writing English, completion of a Dental Assistant program, WA DOH registration, and the ability to communicate with diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English.
• Effective communication with patients and staff.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Escort patients to and from the treatment room and ensure patient comfort.
• Greet, seat, and depart patients professionally.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
• Communicate delays and patient flow to the team.
• Assist in scheduling and registering patients in Dentrix and Allscripts PM.
• Perform thorough charting in Dentrix (SOAPI/PARTS).
• Maintain sterilization and OSHA compliance.
