Job summary

SeaMar Community Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant I to support the dental team in delivering comprehensive services to patients in Washington. The role involves chair-side assistance across a range of procedures, patient education, and adherence to safety and sterilization standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Dental Assistant program credential, WA DOH registration, and a willingness to complete BLS CPR within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program.
• Registered with Washington State DOH; maintain registration.
• BLS CPR within 90 days of hire and ongoing.
• TB test required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide four-handed chair side assistance to Dental Providers across diagnostic, preventative, restorative, endodontic, periodontal, and other procedures.
• Escort patients to/from treatment rooms and ensure courteous, professional communication.
• Record patient data and chart using Dentrix (SOAP/PARTS) and assist with scheduling and registration.
• Maintain sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance in all clinic areas.
• Participate in training of new staff and assist in inventory and supply ordering.
