Job summary

Dentistry on 77th in Edina, MN is seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join Heartland Dental’s team. You’ll greet patients, take and process X-rays, and provide chairside assistance while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Protection of PHI and data safeguards; HIPAA training is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures with four-handed dentistry.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place orders to support workflow.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
