Heartland Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for our Drakeshire Dental team in Farmington Hills, MI. You will greet patients, manage health histories, take x-rays with iTero and other tools, and provide four-handed chairside assistance to supported dentists.

The role involves Dentrix scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring safety with OSHA and HIPAA standards while contributing to a collaborative, growth-oriented practice environment.

Qualifications

• Michigan radiology certification, or willing to obtain.
• 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.
