Heartland Dental's Dental Care of Deltona is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a growing practice. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate health-history reviews, and four-handed chairside support across many procedures using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

The ideal candidate brings general dentistry experience, familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis, and strong patient care and communication skills in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in general dentistry.
• Familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• HIPAA awareness and privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and ensure comfort throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA/CDC).
• Manage supplies and inventory, and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
