Job summary

Dentists of Mukilteo is seeking a dental assistant to support the licensed dentist with basic procedures and patient care. You will learn and perform chairside tasks under supervision while helping maintain infection control and patient safety.

The role emphasizes excellent patient experience, charting, radiographs, and collaboration with the front desk for smooth patient flow. No prior dental experience is required, and medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience is required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under direct supervision of the licensed dentist.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment and attending to their needs.
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning to ensure patient and team safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed after radiation safety requirements are met.
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide basic chairside support, handing off to front desk for follow-up.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed by the dentist.
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist prior to treatment.
