Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a Dental Assistant to support patient care across our multi-specialty dental group. You will manage patient records, assist during procedures, and help educate families on oral health while maintaining strict safety standards.

Requirement includes ARIZONA X-Ray certification or DANB, CPR/AED, and ongoing OSHA/HIPAA training. Proficiency with Open Dental or Dentrix is a plus, and bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CPR and AED training.
• Must have an X-Ray Certification from the State of Arizona or DANB.
• Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.
• Dental practice management software experience (Open Dental/Dentrix) helpful.
• Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS Certifications are a huge plus.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient safety and team safety as a top priority.
• Adhere to OSHA and Infection Control protocols; dispose of sharps and waste promptly and safely.
• Maintain digital patient artifacts: health history, eligibility, treatment plans, and appointments.
• Educate patients and parents on oral health benefits.
• Monitor patient comfort and well-being during visits.
• Prepare tray setups per doctor preferences and procedures.
• Ensure exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, organized, and stocked.
