Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is looking for patient-focused staff to support multiple dental sites in the United States. The role emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and accurate charting of treatments, insurance eligibility, and pre-authorizations.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, CPR/AED, Nitrous Oxide monitoring certification, and are willing to travel 10-15%. Dental software experience is a plus, and Spanish bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CPR and AED training.
• Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.
• Dental practice management software experience helpful.
• Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS Certifications are a huge plus!
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
• Valid Driver’s License may be required for travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on Patient Safety and Team Safety as priority one.
• Adhering to OSHA and Infection Control Protocols, and disposing of sharps and clinical waste in a prompt and safe manner.
• Maintaining digital patient artifacts such as health history, insurance eligibility, treatment plans, pre-authorizations, lab requests, procedures, and appointment details.
• Educating patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health.
• Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being during the entire visit.
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures.
• Ensuring exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, organized, and stocked according to standards.
• Charting existing treatment for new patients by updating the patient chart with entries for fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.
• Reviewing the patient chart and health history prior to doctor arrival and reconfirming the chief concern.
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart.
• Helping the Rodeo Team clean surfaces and common areas of facilities.
• Performs all other duties as assigned
