Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for Liberty Correctional Institution in Bristol, FL. The role involves chairside dentistry under the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist, within a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, operatory maintenance, radiographic image capture, and related administrative tasks. A high school diploma and dental assisting training or experience are required, with licensure and CPR/PPD/clearance requirements to be met

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
• Certified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment.
• Florida Radiograph Certificate, or ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment.
• Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred, or willing to obtain one upon hire.
• Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hire.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Liberty Correctional Institution located in Bristol, Florida.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
