North Vermilion Family Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. The role involves welcoming patients, supporting clinicians with chairside assistance, and handling imaging and records with Dentrix.

The ideal candidate has dental assistant certification (and x-ray if required by state), strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Primary duties include safety compliance and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications listed in the posting: knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment, and HIPAA training requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are expected.
• If required by state practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification may be required.

Responsabilités

• Greet and welcome patients and ensure their comfort throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
