Job summary

Willamette Dental Group is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant in Boise, Idaho. You will support dentists and hygienists by preparing instruments, taking and developing radiographs, and assisting in four-handed dentistry to ensure optimal patient care.

Strong communication and patient education are essential, along with adherence to PPE and safety protocols. A High School Diploma or GED is required; ADA-accredited programs or EFDA are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and meet state requirements to function as a Dental Assistant.
• ADA accredited dental assisting program and/or EFDA are preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is implied by company policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for dental procedures.
• Assist the dentist in four-handed dentistry and related procedures.
• Counsel patients on post-operative care and oral health.
• Take and develop dental radiographs; ensure patient comfort.
• Take medical history, blood pressure and pulse as needed.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain the sterilization area.
• Maintain PPE and follow company policies and OSHA/WISHA rules.
• Travel to other WD locations as needed and maintain reliable attendance.
