Job summary

CompleteCare in Vineland, NJ is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dental team and support the dentist in the operatory. You will prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, assist with four-handed dentistry, and help ensure efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, maintaining sterilization logs, providing patient education, and supporting lab and imaging tasks. This role requires CPR and a willingness to work with hazardous materials; bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an approved dental assisting program
• Licensed x-ray technology registration approved by the DEP
• CPR certification required
• Bilingual Spanish desired
• Hazardous and bio-hazardous materials handling; long hours of standing.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to treatment area and seat professionally.
• Review dental records, history, X-rays, referrals and labs as needed.
• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure.
• Take dental radiographs and ensure clarity/readability.
• Prepare operatory, set up equipment, and explain procedures to patient.
• Perform preliminary impressions and pour models.
• Disinfect operatory and maintain cleanliness and sterilization logs.
• Assist in four-handed dentistry and instrument handling; suture removal if needed.
• Maintain logs for bio, autoclave/sterilization, and instrument rotation.
• Close down rooms and restock supplies daily.
• Provide oral health education to patients and pour/trim models.
• Maintain dental supply inventory and coordinate lab cases.
