Equiliem is seeking a Dental Assistant in Newark, NJ to support dental offices with chair-side care, patient comfort, and clinical prep.

The role requires RDA preferred or CDA with extensive experience, a valid x-ray license, CPR, and at least one year of full-time experience, with proficiency in four-handed dentistry. You will assist dentists, manage instruments, sterilize equipment, and educate patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• RDA preferred or CDA with extensive experience.
• Must have an x-ray license.
• One year full-time experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient in four-handed dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Seat patients, adjust chairs, drape patients.
• Hands instruments and materials to dentist.
• Keeps patients mouth dry and clear by suction and other devices.
• Sterilizes and disinfects instruments and equipment.
• Prepares tray setups for dental procedures.
• Instructs patients on postoperative and general dental care.
• Prepares material for impressions and restorations.
• Expose radiographs.
• Process dental x-ray film as directed.
• Maintains dental supply inventory.
• Participate with conversation of dental resources.
• Assist with education patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, post-operative instructions.

Education

RDA preferred

CDA with extensive experience accepted

X-ray license

CPR certification
