Job summary

Sonrava is seeking a Dental Assistant whose priority is patient care. You will support the doctor with procedures, handle radiographs, and help maintain a welcoming, efficient operatory and chair-side assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification as required by state, or ability to become certified.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia certification preferred.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with a chair-side manner, prioritizing the patient.
• Be present, engaged and ready to work at all assigned shift times.
• Assist doctors with dental procedures and anticipate their needs.
• Take, develop and mount accurate, high-quality radiographs.
• Review patient charts prior to doctor arrival, log health history during exams.
• Prepare equipment and operatory per procedures before patient appointments.
• Maintain schedule and patient flow with efficient procedures.
• Educate patients and address questions or concerns.
• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
• Collaborate with doctors, hygienists, and front-office to ensure service quality.
• Assist with scheduling follow-ups and track lab cases for timely results.
• Monitor dental supplies as directed and reorder using formulary.
• Promote Sonrava services and retail products.
• Complete checklists and participate in daily huddles for smooth daily flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Follow safety policies, OSHA and BBP regulations.
• Complete Learning Management System requirements.
