Job summary

Sonrava is seeking a Dental Assistant who places patient care first and provides precise chair-side support to doctors during dental procedures. You will take and mount radiographs, review health histories and transcribe notes, while maintaining a clean operatory and smooth patient flow.

You will work with the dental team to educate patients, ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance, and promote services and products.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferred.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with chair-side manner, making the patient the priority.
• Be present, engaged and ready to work at all assigned shift times.
• Assist doctors and hygienists with procedures and anticipate their needs.
• Take, develop and mount radiographs of high quality.
• Review patient charts, document health history, and transcribe notes.
• Prepare equipment and operatory per procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain schedule and patient flow with efficient procedures.
• Educate patients and address questions or concerns.
• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver an extraordinary patient experience.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure excellent patient service.
• Assist front office with scheduling follow-ups and tracking lab cases.
• Monitor dental supplies and order as needed.
• Promote Sonrava services and retail products.
• Complete checklists and participate in daily huddles.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and OSHA compliance.
