Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant at Western Illinois Correctional Center in Mount Sterling, IL. The role works under the Dentist or Dental Hygienist in a correctional setting, performing chairside duties and contributing to sterilization, operatory prep, radiography, and administrative tasks.

Shift is Mon-Fri, 7a-3p; pay starts at $24.84/hour. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, completion of dental assisting program or six months' experience, a dental assistant

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required.
• Expanded duty dental assistant certification preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment.
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
