Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Logan Correctional Center in Lincoln, Illinois. The DA works under the supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting, performing instrument sterilization, operatory prep, radiography, and general administrative tasks. Shift is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or 6 months' experience required.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one.
• Expanded duty certification preferred; if not held, must be obtained in year one.
• Certification/experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
• PPD tuberculosis screening documentation required.
• CPR certification required.
• Must obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check).

We are currently seeking a Full-time Dental Assistant (DA) to join our team at Logan CC in Lincoln, Illinois.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Essential duties include the following:

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed

Shift: Mon-Fri 8a-4p

Pay rate

$24.84/hr starting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
