Job summary

Tru Family Dental - Westchester is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a collaborative team under the Heartland Dental umbrella. You will greet patients, review health histories, and support diagnostic and imaging procedures while maintaining strict safety and privacy standards.

Responsibilities include four-handed chairside assistance, Dentrix scheduling, and inventory management, with ongoing training and a positive work environment. Eligible candidates should possess applicable certifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant and/or X-ray certification as required by state practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI data protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and support patient comfort and education.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply/inventory and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
