The Forsyth County Department of Public Health seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to support the Dentists at the Cleveland Avenue Dental Center. Responsibilities include four-handed dentistry, front desk duties, chart notes, and insurance pre-authorizations.

Strong customer service and OSHA familiarity are essential. Ideal candidates have dental assistant training, coronal polishing and radiography certification or willingness to train, and a valid driver’s license for travel to local sites.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program or equivalent on-the-job training with required certifications.
• Certification for coronal polishing and dental radiography preferred.
• Driver's license required to drive to local schools or community sites for sealant projects and health fairs.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in rendering treatment by preparing trays with necessary instruments and handing them to the Dentist.
• Sterilize and take care of dental instruments and equipment.
• Maintain records of patients treated, treatments rendered, and future dental work.
• Take, develop, and mount simple X-rays.
• Perform routine laboratory work such as mixing cements, pouring models, and making bite blocks.
• Assist in maintaining supplies required in the dental clinic.
• Perform related work as required.
