Job summary

Community Medical Centers (CMC) is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our clinic team. You will support the dentist across all four-handed dentistry procedures and ensure instruments and operatories are clean, organized, and ready for use.

The role requires CA X-ray certification, at least a high school diploma or GED plus relevant training or experience, and the ability to work with a diverse, low-income community. Collaboration with the Office Manager and dental staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of Dental Assistant experience or completion of a Dental Assistant program.
• California X-Ray Certification required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in all phases of four-handed dentistry.
• Perform mouth-mirror inspections and chart lesions, restorations, and missing teeth.
• Take impressions for diagnostic models and set up trays.
• Exposes, processes, and mounts radiographs; maintain sterilization standards.
• Provide post-operative instructions and translate as needed.
