Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Prepare, clean, and disinfect operatories and instruments following infection control protocols.
- Set up trays and materials for dental procedures and assist during treatment.
- Take x-rays, impressions, and perform basic lab work including models, trays, and temporary restorations.
- Manage supplies and maintain stocked, organized clinical areas.
- Prepare and support patients, record vitals and treatment notes.
- Enter data and update records in the electronic health system (axiUm).
- Maintain professionalism, communication, and patient confidentiality.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Successful completion of a CODA accredited dental assisting program or one year full-time equivalency in chairside assistant experience using the four-handed dentistry method.
- Current certificate of registration to practice as a dental assistant issued by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners (QDA).
- Current Iowa certificate of proficiency in dental radiography (QDA).
- Experience working with a general dentist is desirable.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working with electronic health records.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $46,604.16 annually, with advanced starting salary possible based on exceptional qualifications.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 4:45 pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
