Job summary
Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless is seeking a Part-time/Full-time Dental Assistant Apprentice to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a background in customer service or dental settings and a willingness to work in clinics serving underserved populations.
We may cover dental assistant training costs in exchange for a 2-year employment commitment. Our DA team rotates between outreach in the field and clinic-based care, operating under a harm reduction model that meets patients where
Qualifications
- Background in customer service or dental roles (MA, CNA, DA, etc).
- Ability to thrive in a complex healthcare setting.
- Bilingual or Spanish speaking is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist dental team in clinic and outreach settings.
- Support procedures under supervision and ensure patient comfort.
- Participate in training and complete commitment for 2 years after training.
