Job summary

Greater Pittsburgh Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to support patient care and workflow. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside assistance using iTero and digital photography.

You’ll use Dentrix for scheduling and records, while upholding safety protocols. Join a team supported by Heartland Dental, with state-of-the-art technology and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate on treatments.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
