Job summary

Certus Dental Care in Pittsburgh is seeking a Dental Assistant with at least 1 year of experience to join a fast-paced, supportive team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide chairside assistance across a range of procedures.

You’ll use Dentrix for scheduling and records, follow safety protocols, manage supplies, and collaborate with providers to optimize office workflows. The role offers opportunities for growth and ongoing training in a modern practice.

Qualifications

• Dental assistants should have certification (and/or x-ray) as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment is preferred.
• HIPAA training and safeguarding PHI are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
