Job summary

Dental One Associates in Woodbridge, Virginia is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our clinical team and deliver a high level of patient care within a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates will have a one-year certified dental assistant program and current X-Ray certification, with willingness to support evolving office needs and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• 1 year on-the-job-experience.
• X-Ray certification - Required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dental Assistants are expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Education

Certificate in Dental Assisting (1-year program)
