Job summary

Pediatric Dental Care in Fairfax, Virginia is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinical team operations and deliver high-quality patient care. The role requires prior dental assisting experience and offers a comprehensive benefits package in a modern office with advanced dental technology.

Full-time schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with competitive hourly pay and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k), and education support.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• 1 year on-the-job experience.
• X-Ray certification is preferred.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in emergencies by supporting CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency directory.
