Job summary

The Smilist in Linwood, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will assist clinicians, prep treatment rooms, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for patients.

We offer competitive pay for 30 hours per week (paid as 36), a rotating schedule including one weekend day, and benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance. NJ x-ray license is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience as Dental Assistant.
• Active NJ X-ray license is required.
• Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on their treatment and support the doctor.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for procedures.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active NJ x-ray license
• RDA/CDA a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7am-7:30pm and rotating Friday/Saturday 7:30am-2pm
• Salary Range: $20.00-$28.00/hour (based on experience)
