Job summary

Konikoff Dental Associates in Suffolk, VA is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support dentists, prepare treatment rooms, and help create a positive patient experience.

Candidates must have at least one year of hands-on dental assisting, X-ray certification, and a passion for high-quality patient care. OSHA, HIPAA, CPR training kept up to date; full-time schedule with Tue-Thu and Fri shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of hands-on dental assisting experience (with supporting documentation).
• X-Ray Certification required.
• Nitrous Oxide Certification strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain current OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by supporting CPR certification and emergency equipment.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting both our patients and dental professionals throughout the treatment process.   • Tuesday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Lunch 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM)

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain current OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
