Job summary

Prestige Dental Center in Pueblo is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team. The role offers a Weekday schedule (Mon-Thu 7:45-5, occasional Fridays) with a pay range of $23-$26/hour plus a $500 sign-on bonus.

You will prepare operatories, assist dentists, take x-rays, educate patients, and perform lab tasks while ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have CPR/BLS, radiology certification, and EDDA qualifications (or 1+ year EDDA experience).

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• EDDA Certification or 1+ years of Expanded Duties Dental Assistant experience.
• Radiology Certification required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Proficiency in Open Dental or Dentrix dental software.
• Knowledge of prosthodontics for restorations.
• Experience with Clear Aligners such as Invisalign is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for treatment.
• Sterilize instruments.
• Directly assist dentist during procedures using four handed dentistry technique.
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos.
• Document and maintain Patient Health Information.
• Place temporary and permanent restorations and shape contours.
• Denture/implant related tasks as directed by dentist.
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
• Take final impressions and monitor nitrous oxide.

Expanded Duties Dental Assistant | Weekday Schedule | $500 Sign-On Bonus | $23-26/hour

We are looking for an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team at Prestige Dental Center, Pueblo! Schedule

Monday - Thursday 7:45-5, occasional Fridays as needed

Compensation

$23-$26/hour depending on experience + $500 sign-on bonus

Job responsibilities/duties

• Preparing operatories for treatment
• Sterilizing instruments
• Directly assist dentist during procedures using four handed dentistry technique
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos
• Accurately and efficiently treatment plan based on doctor’s diagnosis
• Providing patient education and post-operative instruction
• Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment
• Accurately document and maintain Patient Health Information
• Place temporary and permanent restorations in teeth and shape to proper contour
• Removes sutures and places rubber dams as directed by dentist
• Place Sealants
• Fluoride Application
• Coronal Polishing
• Take final impressions
• Monitor nitrous oxide

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• EDDA Certification or 1+ years of Expanded Duties Dental Assistant experience
• Radiology Certification required
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
