Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Greeley, CO is hiring an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. You will support clinicians in a fast-growing, multi-specialty practice across general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric services.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dental assisting (EDDA) experience.
• Current CPR and AED training.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in restorative procedures, composites, crowns and bridges, dentures, impressions, FMX, charting, sterilization, rubber dam placement, model pouring, root canals and extractions.
• Focus on patient safety and team safety as priority one.
• Educate patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health.
• Take diagnostic quality X-Rays and attach to the patient chart.
• Maintain digital patient records including health history and treatment plans.
• Ensure exam rooms are cleaned, disinfected, and stocked at start and end of patient interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 years of dental assisting (EDDA) experience
• Must have experience in multi surface filling and dentures
• Active CPR and AED training
• Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide preferred
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS Certifications are all a huge plus!
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist the doctor in restorative procedures, composite fillings, crown and bridge, dentures, taking impressions, taking FMX, charting sterilization, placing rubber dam, pouring up models, root canals, and extractions
• Focusing on Patient Safety and Team Safety as priority one
• Adhering to OSHA and Infection Control Protocols, and disposing of sharps and clinical waste in a prompt and safe manner
• Maintaining digital patient artifacts such as health history, insurance eligibility, treatment plans, pre-authorizations, lab requests, procedures, and appointment details
• Educating patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health
• Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being during the entire visit
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
• Ensuring that exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, organized, and stocked according to the required standards at the beginning and end of each patient interaction
• Charting existing treatment for new patients by updating the patient chart with entries for fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.
• Reviewing the patient chart and health history prior to the doctor arrival and reconfirming the patient's chief concern
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
• Helping the Rodeo Team clean surfaces, sinks, floors and common areas of exam rooms, operatories, reception, break rooms, restrooms, etc.
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Compensation Range: $24-$28 per hour
• Monday, Tuesday 8:30am to 7:30pm and 2 Saturdays a Month

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
