Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant in Old Saybrook, CT, offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The role supports the practice team with chair-side assistance, patient prep, and sterilization, helping the dentist during restorative procedures.

Responsibilities include charting, radiographs, patient education, and maintaining asepsis per OSHA and HIPAA standards. Certification in CPR and radiography is required. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X-ray certification as required by the state.
• Infection Control Certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to exceptional patient service and education.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists, including charting and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history and ensures forms are signed in the dental software.
• Reviews daily schedule to set up trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes instruments, maintains asepsis, and assists during procedures per OSHA.
• Exposes and develops dental radiographs.
• Follows OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, X-ray and other required certifications.

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great "Impression" on Our Team

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training
