Job summary

Location: Winding Waters Clinics - Enterprise, Joseph, and Wallowa

The Role

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to

join our team. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to

ensure the efficient operation of the dental department, assisting providers in delivering

excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform rooming protocols for all visits, preparing the patient for the provider.
  • Assist with dental procedures as directed by the provider and prepare specimens or materials as needed.
  • Process and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with clinic protocols and OSHA standards.
  • Clean and disinfect dental operatories between patient visits, ensuring all surface barriers are replaced, and equipment is ready.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health system (OCHIN/EPIC).
  • Provide patient education at the provider's request.
  • Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment and dental units.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EPIC experience is a plus).
  • Must maintain appropriate life support skills (BLS).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds and tolerate exposure to germs.
