Job summary

Racine Dental Group in Racine, WI is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team with treatment and patient care. The candidate must have prior dental assisting experience and be able to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, educating patients on oral care, and maintaining records. Competitive hourly pay and a benefits package are offered, along with continuing education opportunities and a modern, tech-enabled office.

Qualifications

  • Two years or more on-the-job-experience with documentation.
  • X-Ray certification is preferred.
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
  • Support emergency readiness by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.



Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Two years or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)

  • X-Ray certification, preferred

  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

  • High school diploma or equivalent


Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
