Mauthe & Associates in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by providing high-quality patient care in a team-based environment.

The role requires one year of dental assisting experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and a professional, detail-oriented demeanor. Full-time schedule Monday-Thursday 8 AM–5 PM with rotating Fridays 8 AM-Noon; benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• One year on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Reliable and detail-oriented with a professional demeanor.
• Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment.
